Another year’s flown by, and man, has it been wild. Music’s been like my anchor in the middle of a storm. Nights spent strumming on my old guitar were the only times I felt some peace amid all the craziness.
So, why music, you ask? It’s like every chord, every line was reaching out, showing me a bit of light when I was pretty much at my lowest. Those moments were everything – the only times I felt like I wasn’t just sinking.
Then came the turning point, all thanks to this guardian angel who stepped into my life. She saw me, all the mess and the chaos, and just… offered me a hand. There I was, guitar in hand and a head full of broken dreams, and she gave me a chance to start over. It’s kinda amazing how her kindness and music started to put me back together.
Getting into teaching music and sharing my passion kinda reignited the spark in me. Seeing the kids light up about music reminded me why I fell in love with it in the first place. Music’s more than just tunes, you know? It’s about making a connection, really getting what someone’s feeling without them having to spell it out.
Now, with my tracks about to go live, it all feels kinda surreal. My fam, my guardian angel who’s more like family than anyone, and the few true friends who’ve stuck by me have all seen the change. Music hasn’t just saved me; it’s pretty much who I am now.
Writing this down, I wanna say it’s not just about the hard times. This is a big shoutout to music, the one thing that’s always been there for me when words just weren’t enough. It’s my heart, my story, my comeback, all in one.
And the guardian angel who changed everything for me? She’s more than just a name or a face. She’s this incredible force of nature, loving without expecting anything in return and always keeping it real because she genuinely cares. She stepped into the void left by the mom I lost too soon, without a moment’s hesitation. To the world, she might play many roles, but to me? She’s “Mummy,” and that’s something special. But that’s a story for another day, a whole chapter about how much she’s changed my life
